A resident of the camp, the Westview High School head football coach Jamal Jones is said to have shaken and slapped some players to wake them up during a multiple night camp football camp at the Linfield University. 
 
 Around 4:TUESDAY 30 a. m. the McMinnville Police Department went to do a “welfare check” at the campus because it was hosting multiple high school football teams for the camp. The police department did not release the name of the coach in question but confirmed that he is a cop with the Hillsboro police department, stressing that the matter is still under investigation to establish if there is any criminal conduct. 
 
 According to the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA), Jamal Jones is recorded as the head coach of Westview’s footballmanship. The Beaverton School District officially replied to the existence of the worrying situation Tuesday afternoon that Jones has been placed on administrative leave as the authorities investigate the matter. 
 
 The Hillsboro Police Department stated that it is informed of the accusations concerning one of its officer who was “not performing as a Hillsboro employee” at the scene of the incident. The department noted that the employee is ‘on leave’, while investigations on the matter continue. 
 
 Jones was on his first season as the Westview head coach of the football team. He as well served Franklyn High School in Portland as a head coach and Arcata High School in California the wore he served as the head coach for six years according to Westview High School.
