University City High School names former Mizzou, Chiefs receiver head football coach
Franklin Played for the University of Missouri from 2007-2009 and has been appointed as the head coach for University City High School football team.
He played a period in the NFL as a wide receiver NFL wide receiver who hails from Missouri to be precise, from St. Louis in particular was a sporting icon at the Vashon High School, and apart from football, he featured in other sports.
Franklin, after playing an illustrious football season, had worked in the Mizzou athletic department as the head of Student Athlete Development and Player Engagement that transferred to the Vashon High School program in 2020.
Franklin will take over from Derrick Colquitt who managed the University City football to Class 3 District second place up to 2022. The team secured the last position in the baseball competition of last season with a record of 3 wins and 8 losses.
Franklin shared the following message with his student-athletes: I can see my presence is much of an imposition on you now that you have discovered that Will Franklin said to him, “I am here to build you on and off the field. ” “I have a serious passion about young men. I want to be that person that they didn’t have or I didn’t have at their age and be able to help and guide and direct them into a place of success. ”
It is important to note that Coach Franklin will be involved in preparations to construct a high school newly-built and modern-purpose field, actively solicited by Prop U fund.
This reconstruction will ensure that the field is used in football as planned but also in soccer, baseball and field hockey.
