Tight End Jackson Doman Commits to BYU After Official Visit

Friday, Jackson Doman, a tight end, committed to BYU football team after his official visit on Sunday night offered by the athletic department. Doman is a surname that has become iconic for BYU sports. At the time he announced the commitment, Jackson indicated that 22 of his family members have at one time or another played for the BYU football team right from his great grandpa, Juan Whiting. It also has its share on the most memorable list, more so the relative of his known as Brandon Doman. In the year 2001, Brandon Doman was the quarterback for BYU when the Cougars came out to the season with 12 wins out of 0 loss. Jackson as said on X, “I am honored to get to add my name to the legacy. ”

Jackson Doman chose the Cougars above other scholarships offered by the OS Beavers, the Colorado State, the Nevada, the UNLV, and the Washington State. The invitation to BYU was tendered to Doman last June by the then BYU tight ends coach, Steve Clark. For example, in May, new BYU tight ends coach Kevin Gilbride and Justin Ena traveled to Oregon to visit Doman and remind him of [BYU’s] scholarship offer.

It writes Doman at 6’6/215 but let me tell you that Davis is a beast at 6’3/315. He was a multi-sport athlete at Canby High School where the young man proficiently performed on both offense and defense. In what could be described as a special strength, he is a good receiving tight end with a knack for making leap catches. Due to his incredible length and ability to high-point the football, he is a dangerous red-zone target with a height of 6’6. He can make a tackle, or he can run and catch a pass for a touchdown, depending on whether he replicates his high school role in college; nevertheless, recruiting sites currently classify him as a tight end.

The 6-foot-11 player from the University of Washington is the fourth team member to pledge commitment to Brigham Young University this weekend. He has been added to the list of giants that includes wide receiver LaMason Waller, tight end Tucker Kelleher and edge Ulavai Fetuli.
