New Jersey Girls’ High School Flag Football State Championship to be played at MetLife Stadium
State title holder Ridgewood is set to matchup against Wayne Valley on Saturday night at MetLife Stadium for the New Jersey Girls High School Flag Football State Championship of 2024. The New York Jets – NFL are the hosts of the games and performance will include Youth Girls Flag Clinic to 100 before the bell to kickoff at 7 o’clock. A clinic will be established in flag football to educate the fundamentals in growing the sport for the girls.
Ridgewood concluded the regular season with a record of 12-1, and they would go on to defeat Harrison, the NJIC champions to clinch the semi-final match while ensuing in the championship. Franklin had a record of eleven wins, one loss, and one draw in the season, while Wayne Valley also qualified directly to the finals from the semi-finals having beaten Franklin in previous match.
This is the fourth season of the Jets New Jersey High School Girls Flag Football League with Nike being its official partner and Gatorade and Visa being official sponsors. Stationed in September 2021, the league took off with only eight schools from the Super Football Conference before unifying with the BCC and the NJIC over 65 teams in 2024. Over 1,700 athletes paraded for more than 250 games this season of the tournament.
