Monroe High School football coach Toby Golembiewski dies after fight with cancer
One of the most esteemed coaches in the United States, Toby Golembiewski, who was guiding the Monroe High School football team for the past eight years and led them to an unbeaten state championship last year in 2022, has passed away after he battled cancer.
Yesterday, the School District of Monroe released information on the death of Golembiewski.
From the official social media pages of the district, it was announced: ‘It is with deep sorrow that we post the demise of MHS Football Coach Toby Golembiewski’. “Coach G faced cancer directly and has now advanced to directly coaching a bunch of buiseness collegrs. ”
Moreover, Golembiewski had been the head coach of the Monroe Cheesemaker football team for the past eight years. He guided his teams to playoffs for consecutive seven of those eight years and that too by becoming Division 3 State Champions in of 2022 with an unbeaten record in the tournament.
This indeed was a true reflection of the extra curricula activities that formed part of the character and discipline Coach G instilled to the lives of his family, friends, players coaches as well as the whole community as depicted by the district acknowledging his contributions.
Using posts made by friends and family, it is clear that Golembiewski was an effective leader, teacher, and a father figure to the football players he coached.
