Mason High School baseball team clinches state title

It was decided in Sunday that the baseball team of the Mason High School has been winners of the Ohio High School Athletic Association.

Together, they played the title game 8-1 against the Twinsburg High school which is a school in Summit county. The event took place at the Canal Park, which is a site for the minor league baseball team of Akron RubberDucks.

Mason was able to go 21-6, in the regular season and was facing teams within the Greater Miami Conference and other local teams including Oak Hills, Colerain, and Sycamore High Schools. In the postseason, they posted similar results with a win streak that included all their matches.

Mason’s baseball teams are coached by an experienced teacher and English master, Curt Bly. He has been with the team long enough, with 11 seasons under his belt as a coach.
