In most cases the camps are led usually by coaches and with the spirit of making children absorb as much as possible. Let me tell you that things fit into a different perspective when you get to the boys high football camp of great falls. Indeed, the current Bison players are the ones who teach the campers all these manners but in the process are building relations with what can be future Bison players.

“ ‘It is great meeting most of these guys’ Said 11-year-old hurley grant. ‘You know, it is just awesome to meet new people. ’ ” “It’s playing with them and being able to talk to them and it means that when you grow up, you are not as shy. ”

The Bison coaches, as it is expected, hover around and intervene when necessary, but they are sparingly seen or heard when the camp is ongoing. Speaking to MTN Sports, Bison head coach Coda Tchida said he insisted on the players taking the time to teach the kids how it is done in their program, only for the kids to prefer to be hanging out and listening to the ‘Real Guys in the Jerseys’.

The camp content entails a one and a half hour of football activities, right from the basic skills, then after that, the kids are fed pizza. That music starts after lunch time, wait till you see the fun it brings. The kids engage in a number of games or have competitions such as ‘the fastest man at camp. ’ The second part of camp yields more time for children to interact with Bison players; as Hurley stated he had become friends with some of the players after he played against one of them in a duel.

One such camper, Kaine Showers aged 12, looked forward to being at the camp adding that in the future, he would like to join the bison program. Kaine has a chance to watch games in Memorial Stadium during football season and has been witnessing fervor on the Bison sidelines.

“I have been here before to watch their games and I must say that the coaches are exceptionally hyped, and so are the players: they are hyped for every game and it is rather exciting to watch them. "
